Comic strip artist, illustrator, videoartist, playwright and cartoon director, Calpurnio is the creator of Cuttlas.
Simple aesthetics, minimal traits, sharp irony, and everyday existentialism: these are the peculiar features of a romantic contemporary cowboy who touches us with his deep humanity.
This popular comic strips character appears first in El Japo fanzine in 1983. Since then, we have followed the adventures of the molecular cowboy in the Spanish newspaper El País. Nowadays, Cuttlas comes up periodically in another Spanish newspaper, 20 minutos. Besides, the character has been taken to the small and big screen, directed by his own creator.
